Patrickâs labor of love! It is such a nice ride! It is like a time capsule, transporting you back to the 60âs and 70âs.

Construction has begun on my mother of the groom dress. 10 days till wedding! No worries. Weeks ago, I Ordered buttons from 4 different places, 3 will not show in time. One set arrived and they are a bit too small and a dozen short. There will be 28 buttons down the front. I swapped in new type of button placket on the Stokxâs Birdy dress. No visible stitches. I lowered the V neck which requires a change to collar which I am nervous about. All pieces are underlined with Bemberg Rayon lining which is bagging down on larger skirt sections. Still donât know how I am going to hem this beast. Decided to use reach puff sleeve instead of the curved wing sleeve. Hoping Mother Nature is kind weather wise. Donât you just love a challenge! I do. ð #stokxbirdydress

Another Stokxâs Summer Birdy, in the longer maxi length, sleeveless and collarless. I started with the size 6 and graded out the bottom to my waist and hip measurements plus the recommended ease. This is an incredibly comfortable dress for the summer heat and humidity. The arm scye is unaltered and is comfortable while completely covering my bra. The fabric was cotton poplin twill dead stock on super clearance at Fabric Mart several years ago. I bought it for toileâs and I have since fallen in love with it. Sadly, this is the last of it. Finished off with 18 snaps. Happy Sewing! #stokxbirdydress #fabricmart

Absolutely loving this new Summer Birdy dress with the recently released Puff Reach sleeve. I chose the no collar option, finished with bias binding. Fifteen snaps down the front add some pizzazz. Perfect side pockets. These sleeves are so comfortable, providing a full unrestricted range of motion while providing amazing upper arm coverage, perfect for my larger upper arms. The wide elasticated part of sleeve feels modern and yet the puff adds a softer touch. Made in a dead stock cotton twill this is going to be perfect for the summer heat. Check out Stokx Patterns if you havenât already. An inclusive size range with max chest, waist, hip measurement of 59:53:60 inches (150:136:153 cm) No affiliation just a very happy customer! #curvysewingcollective #stokxpatterns

Did a whole lot of machine quilting this weekend⦠practicing a combination of freehand motion, bernina bsr, and ruler work. Getting better⦠my philosophy at this point, better done than perfect.

Are these sleeves too puffy? The new reach sleeves by Stokx patterns. Really love the shape and look but the top looks too high⦠hmmm ⦠but maybe I am just not used to puff sleeves. So comfortable⦠on my Summer Birdy Dress. Check out Stokx patterns! #stokxinthewild
