Finished a Fatherâs Day gift for my partner in crime. ð Drafted using the Sure Fit Design kit a couple of years ago. He lives in these shirts. Flannel in the winter and linen in warmer times. This is a very lightweight linen. Cool but full coverage to protect him from the mosquitoes. He requested the longer sleeves this time. #surefitdesigns
#MeMadeMay2023 day 12, this is my oldest linen dress princess seam sleeveless dress. There is even a back zip, which I no longer bother with due to my shape. The linen is whisper soft. I self drafted this using Sure-Fit Design system. This helped me really get started in understanding my body, and what I could do to make commercial patterns work for me. The top is Itch to Stitchâs Foz top which I was a tester for that pattern, another cool behind the scenes part of indie pattern companies and home sewing industry. Surprise visit from my daughter, has me drafting a woven V neck linen fitted shell top. She has a very different shape, and I brought out my Sure Fit Dress Kit to help with the drafting. Installed a side invisible zip which works like a charm and used bias binding to finish the V. I truly love sewing. It is as close to magic as I will ever achieve.
