So excited!!! Working on my first pair of Mitchell trousers by Closet Core patterns, and other than minor crotch curve extensions, the fit is amazing. Still have to put in hem and waist facings. I added a bit of extra height to the center back on waist, but it was not necessary. Trimming it off to follow original pattern. Sits so nicely, so comfortable. I loved the Pietra’s and these are as nice without elastic in waist band. Waist 48 Hips 58, made size 28 with .75 inches added to extend back crotch curve. A bit long, but that was intentional. Cannot wait to finish and wear these. Thanks to Beverly of Punk Frockers for the inspiration. #sewover50plus #weedstowildflowers #punkfrockers #closetcoremitchell

My last summer dress for this year. It was a true work of love and appreciation. The punk frockers have a super fan in me. I listen while sewing. I listen while doing some pretty uncomfortable daily exercises that keep my poor old joints moving. I listen over and over. I am blessed with wonderful and supportive family and friends, but the journey of a fat person I walk alone, until Jenny and Beverly and the amazing community that has surrounded them. Forever your super fan. #punkfrockers #pfsuperfan

Stock Shirtdress toile with only hem left do do. Did some major tweaking to accommodate my large biceps. Very common adjustment for me. See detail photo. These sleeves are now as comfortable as the dress. My preference is loose sleeves which is challenging with my biceps. Next version I will definitely shorten shoulder seams. Love the back shaping, the double belt loops, and the cloth belt. Really enjoyed this journey. Thanks again to #punkfrockers and #stokxpatterns for the pattern. I have so many ideas for hacking this pattern.
Measurements C cup 46 chest, 48 waist, and 58 hips. I made size 6 on top, easily graded to size 9 in waist and hips. Biceps are 18.5 inches.

So… on my list for many months is to reclaim a big chunk of workspace. My husband built this incredible ironing station which sits right next to my sewing machines. I started collecting various scraps and useful tools, and as the pile grew, I lost access to the tools and scraps and space! It wasn’t a matter of just tidying, which I had done many times. I needed to find permanent yet easily accessible homes for these tools and treasured scraps. I finally took the time to tackle this naughty list project and I am so pleased. #pfnaughtylist #punkfrockers

Stokx Shirtdress in progress, this is an advance pattern with several new to me construction methods. I am truly enjoying the challenge, and incredibly excited to slip this make on. My dressform is slightly larger than me, so it should look even better on me. Being a pear shape, I made size 6 on top, and graded to 9 for hips and waist and sleeve. C cup, 46 chest, 48 waist, 57 hips. Lots of mental work to grade it but definitely doable. Princess seams are just basted for now. Love sewing again! I won this pattern. Thank you to #punkfrockers and #stokxpatterns. #sewover50plus #fatsewover50 #sewover50
